Reaction to FDA Refusal to Ban BPA

This week people across the country were upset, but not entirely surprised, when the FDA announced that it will decline the ban on BPA.Continuing with the reasoning that chemicals are “innocent until proven guilty,” the FDA felt that there was not enough evidence to prove that the chemical is a real health hazard to humans. The NRDC proposed this ban back in 2008, and in a few short years many manufacturers started removing the toxin from its products. But for now the BPA is not instating any legislation and the onus will remain on the consumer to know what they are putting in their bodies.

ABC News came out to interview one of my fellow green moms on a mission Lori Alper of Groovy Green Livin the day the FDA announced its decision. See her reaction here.
